In the recently concluded Etisalat F1x3, the region’s first-of-its-kind promotion, a whopping 112 lucky winners experienced live racing thrills in the superfast Etisalat F1x3 car, an original F1 racing car with three seats, especially designed to provide the ultimate racing experience on the tracks.
Etisalat’s F1x3 car racing promotion ran parallel to the current formula one racing excitement and also received an overwhelming response from customers. The winners’ profile included 18 different nationalities and children below the required age who were authorized and accompanied by their parents for the ride, as a safety measure and part of the promotion’s terms of winning. All winners were handed certificates signed by the professional racers as a memento of their participation in the region’s first live racing experience.
The high-profile promotion entitled customers who sent a text message ‘F1x3’ to 1110, purchased an iPhone or any Etisalat mobile broadband bundle during the promotion period, the chance to win a race at the Dubai Autodrome on 25 and 26 October, with a professional race driver through a raffle draw. Etisalat bought exclusive rights, through October, to the F1x3 car especially designed to accommodate three passengers at a time.
The race held on 25 and 26 October at the Dubai Autodrome, featured a completely controlled and safe drive by professionals experienced in international championships, enabling them to hit extraordinary speeds in the safest way possible. Passengers were equipped with FIA homologated overall, boots, gloves and helmet and safety measures were replete with medical units operational at the track.
The F1x3 specifications are similar to a real racing car, including the engine capacity, acceleration, maximum speed as well as the look and feel. The car is capable to hit speeds of over 300 km/hr and accelerations from 0 to 200 in 4.8 seconds.
