A10 Networks Signs Shifra as Value Added Distributor for Middle East

Published Jul 16, 2016

A10 Networks, a leader in application networking and security, announced that the company has signed a Value-Added Distributor (VAD) partnership with Shifra, that will enable the distributor’s regional channel partners to offer A10 Networks’ technology solutions to enterprise customers across the Middle East.

Shifra will help A10 build on the company’s success in the region by developing a strong channel network and focusing on partner enablement. Shifra will run quarterly technical and sales training workshops at no cost to the channel. This should help build competency on A10 products as well as serve as a recruiting tool for partners who are unfamiliar with the products. The company will also extend the expertise of its certified technical team to assist the channel with solution design and implementation as well as Proof of Concept (PoC) deployment. Partners will be able to rely on Shifra to help them through the early stages of adoption of the product until they see an ROI which warrants an investment in resources.

Mr. Ahmad Elkhatib, Managing Partner at Shifra says, “Shifra is a focused value added distributor in the cybersecurity area. With A10 Networks recently driving its efforts into the security space with solutions for SSL inspection, DDoS protection and firewalls, there exists a perfect synergy between our two companies. A10’s leadership in the traditional application delivery controller market is also an attractive proposition for Shifra since it will open avenues for us to deal with a new profile of partners and potentially create new revenue streams for our company.”

“A10 and Shifra complement each other very well. A10 is a pioneering company that focuses on producing market leading products and that is in line with Shifra’s commitment to delivering innovative and leading-edge solutions to our partners and end users across the region. We are excited to work with A10 Networks to grow their market share and reseller network in the Middle East region,” continues Mr. Elkhatib.

Shifra is a value added distributor with focus in three main areas: cyber security, mobility and identity management. The company serves the Middle East and North Africa region with an extensive reseller network but also through a direct touch approach to help vendor partners and reseller partners grow their business. Shifra’s current portfolio of strong authentication, and single sign-on products complement A10’s products on the application level and the distributor’s email security gateway and network access control products complement A10’s solutions on the network level.

Giving an insight into today’s market scenario, Mr. Elkhatib says, “Traditionally security has been a strong focus in the financial, telco and government sectors. However recently we see a strong demand in all sectors, with no company being able to ignore securing their infrastructure and data anymore. We will be focusing our efforts on large enterprises that need to deliver high performance and reliability while maintaining value in the investments made. We think there is a large market opportunity because of A10’s strong portfolio based on a single platform as well as the great return on investment that the solutions offer.”

“The addition of Shifra strengthens our distribution model. The company shares the same values and vision as A10, has an excellent market reputation, an impressive portfolio of large enterprise customers in varied verticals, a wide partner network and a highly competent technical team. All these attributes make Shifra a valued partner,” concludes Chris Gale, EMEA Partner Director at A10 Networks.
