Canon Updates MAXIFY Range of Printers to Deliver New Print Possibilities

Published Aug 3, 2016

Canon Middle East, world leader in imaging solutions, today announces the launch of four new four–in-one multi-function devices (MFDs) and a new colour single-function printer (SFP).

The new MAXIFY MB2140, MB2740, MB5140, MB5440 and iB4140 will replace the award-winning MAXIFY MB2040, MB2340, MB5040, MB5340 and iB4040 printers, bringing improved levels of efficiency, quality and choice to small business and home office customers. The refreshed range is specially designed to provide partners with an efficient and productive offering.

The four-in-one devices continue to offer fast scan, copy and fax alongside professional quality prints. The MAXIFY MB5140 and MB5440 feature Canon’s Single Pass two-sided Scan functionality, which allows both sides of the document to be scanned simultaneously, saving valuable time when large batches of documents need to be scanned in one go.

The latest range of printers benefit from high-yield XL ink tanks, producing up to 1,200 black-and-white pages (MB2140 and MB2740) or 2,500 black-and-white pages (MB5140, MB5440 and iB4140) before cartridges need to be replaced. This reduces the frequency at which cartridges need to be changed, which in turn reduces printer downtime.

The upgraded printers have also been designed to enable growing businesses to gain greater visibility of their printing habits, identify usage pattern and arm themselves with the information they need to control print costs. The new printers offer the option to keep a record of total volumes printed, scanned or faxed, to allow users to get a better picture of how the device is being used in the office.

The MAXIFY range is ideal for flexible working and for office spaces where printers are shared by a team or small businesses. With built in Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, MAXIFY devices allow printing to be shared between multiple PCs and wireless devices around the small office. Compatibility with the Canon PRINT app allows users to connect to the printer, using a smartphone or tablet device for printing and scanning.

The new Canon MAXIFY printer range will be available across MEA from July 2016.
