Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, is looking to build on its success in Egypt in FY’2016 by implementing an aggressive growth strategy for the forthcoming year.
FY’16 was a successful year for Aruba in Egypt with the company witnessing significant growth and it intends building on this business momentum in FY’2017. The company had several high profile customer wins in the healthcare, hospitality, government and education sectors. It is implementing a massive wireless network project at Zewail City of Science and Technology designed to enable the institution to leverage BYOD for innovation in education. On completion of the deployment, the Institute will begin to offer campus wide connectivity to its students and faculty. The Gigabit performance of the wireless network means that Zewail City can introduce state-of-the-art eLearning and collaboration tools, which are easily assessable to students via their own mobile devices.
Mr. Ahmed Fathy, Territory Manager, HPE Aruba, Egypt says, “According to IDC latest projections, the Egyptian ICT market will achieve a growth rate estimated at 8.95 billion dollars in 2016, with an upward revision of about 10.32 billion dollars in 2019. The ICT industry is expected to play a central role in driving growth for Egypt’s economy in the coming years and with the ICT 2020 vision and strategy in place, the public and private sectors will undoubtedly be embracing the latest technology innovations that the leading IT vendors have to offer.”
“As trends like mobility and Bring-Your-Own-Device sweep the country, Aruba and its partners are well placed to cater to the increasing demand for the ‘all-wireless workplace’ that supports BYOD securely and reliably, enabling communication and delivering business apps wherever people work. The launch of the new partner program will enable our partners to engage closely with customers in Egypt in order to capitalize on the tremendous business potential in the country.”
The company recently hosted an event on 14th November at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza to launch its ‘Partner Ready for Networking’ program. The new program enables partners in Egypt to capitalize on the burgeoning enterprise mobility market and help ensure they stay on the leading edge of today’s mobile-first world. Laser-focused on networking, the new program supplies partners with predictable profitability, ease of doing business and mobile-first networking advantages.
With Hewlett-Packard acquiring Aruba last year, the two companies had promised to merge the legacy Aruba and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Networking channel programs into a single, streamlined offering. The introduction of Partner Ready for Networking program is in keeping with that promise. The program includes many attractive features from the existing programs, such as tiered membership discounts, incentives for achieving areas of specialization, easy to use deal registration and a more predictable revenue stream. So that partners can access all of the company’s networking product innovations and tools easily, a special Partner Ready for Networking site has been created on the Partner Ready portal.
Aruba will focus its efforts on key verticals including government, hospitality, healthcare, education, retail and finance. Channel is key to the company’s success and it will continue to conduct training and certification programs in Egypt through its training partners. Aruba is eager to raise its corporate profile in the country and will run marketing campaigns and participate at relevant industry events.
“Egypt is a high growth market for Aruba and with our market leading wireless infrastructure technology backed by the new partner program, we expect to further penetrate the market and help enterprises in the country build mobile-first networks,” concludes Mr. Fathy.
