InnJoo, (www.innjoo.com), the Dubai headquartered smartphone maker announced today its strategy to significantly increase its Egypt market share in 2017. The company intends to expand its online presence via retail partner souq.com as well as increasing its network of retail partners and resellers.
Ahmed Kandil, InnJoo Country Manager, Egypt noted, “InnJoo is excited to build upon the success we achieved in 2016. Using our primary go to market strategy of selling online we were able to generate significant sales activity in a short period. In 2017, we intend to expand our online and offline presence while continuing to emphasize InnJoo’s unique value proposition. “
InnJoo’s success has been driven by the adoption of smartphones as well as the growing popularity of e-commerce in the region. According to Statista, the number of smartphones users in Egypt grew 67% in 3 years from 2013-2016, reaching 21 million. Forecasts predict further significant growth as Egyptian consumers are increasingly seeking smart devices. InnJoo’s online strategy also passes savings onto potential customers and enables them to have competitively priced smart phones without compromising on style, performance and functionality.
“Egyptians are looking for premium smartphone features with maximum value. InnJoo is able to deliver this through our online sales strategy. By keeping overall costs down, we are able to increase investment for software development as well as dedicate more resources to improving product quality. This ultimately benefits the consumer,” added Kandil.
Established in 2014 and having just opened its Egypt office in 2016, InnJoo is already among the top 3 online device brands in the region.
The company also offers users dedicated applications through its own browser, InnBrowser, app store as well as cloud service on the device. To date, InnJoo has over 100,000 apps and is developing its own apps. In order to cater to regional needs, InnJoo is also encouraging the development of Arabic apps. Currently, InnJoo has more than 2,000 Arabic apps in the store as they are focused on building an ecosystem for local customers.
“In parallel to our smartphones, InnJoo launched a series of software and apps complementing our smartphones which are all available on InnStore. This is in-line with InnJoo’s focus on delivering localized applications and relevant user experiences,” concluded Kandil.
InnJoo offers its collection of advanced high quality smartphones, tablets and accessories through the region’s biggest distributor as well as select retailers. The company’s entire product range is also sold online through the region’s largest e-commerce site souq.com.
